Although I've lived in Texas most of my adult life, yesterday was the first time I had the opportunity to photograph a cattle trail drive. Weldon Wilson, of Brownwood, TX, decided to transfer his Longhorn cattle about 16 miles to another pasture. Instead of just loading them up onto a truck, he had several cowhands trail drive them to the new pasture. The trail was mostly along country roads and one major highway crossing. Also of interest, Bob Phillips, of Texas Country Reporter, and his TV film crew were there to film the event. I didn't get to go along the entire trail, but I had a great time photographing some of it. I do want to thank Gail Croft, a member of our local photography group, for inviting me to participate.
