TIPS TO IMPROVE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY - EQUIPMENT - PHOTOGRAPHY SOFTWARE
If you're into doing panoramic photos and use Adobe Lightroom CC to process the image(s), here's a new feature just released in the latest update. It's called Boundary Warp. It's available once you have selected your panoramic images and process them in Photo Merge - Panorama. Once the images have been processed the new feature is available prior to completing the merge. This is pretty cool as it eliminates further processing in other software to achieve the same results. I made a short video showing how it works, see below. Comments are welcomed.
Had a chance to spend a few days at Myrtle Beach, SC and spent some time photographing sunrises and sunsets at the beach. Also, had an opportunity to visit the Yorktown Aircraft Carrier, USS Laffey Destroyer, and the USS Clamagore Submarine in Charleston, SC. Great experience and I'm enjoying experimenting with Lightroom, Aurora HDR Pro, and ON1 software. Contact me if interested in seeing my workflow.
Here are a couple more examples of images processed with the Aurora HDR Pro software. The original images were taken in New Zealand in 2000 with a Sony Mavica Digital Camera. I forget the exact model, but, it used the old "Floppy Discs" as the storage medium. They had a capacity of 1 mb, so these originals were captured as a jpg of around 150 kb's. Thanks to the software that was available in 2000, I have been able to process the images in psd, tiff, and jpg formats. Both of the examples were completely processed in Aurora HDR Pro. The Trolley Car used one of the presets for converting to Black and White and toning for the Sepia effect. The interior of the Church was adjusted using only the basic panel in Aurora HDR Pro, similar to processing in Adobe Lightroom. The effect is very subtle, but, I wanted to compare the controls to Adobe Lightroom. So, it looks like this software is capable of becoming a significant element in my routine workflow.
