This past week I have been able to add three new bird species to my list of "birds I have photographed".
They are the Orange Crowned Warbler, Cowbird, and Male Redwing Blackbird. The photos aren't the best, but, as I learn more about their habits my photographs should improve. Practice makes Perfect... This makes for a total of 48 species that I have photographed mostly in the Brownwood, Tx area. My goal is to get to 50 species this year. On my list of birds in the area for this year are the Caracara, Osprey, and Perigrine Falcon that have been spotted at Lake Brownwood. Several of the species are photos of captured birds that I would like to get photos of in the wild. Screech Owl, American Kestrel, and Horned Owl I have posted most of my photos on Flickr. For the past 3 years I have been trying to photograph the Cedar Wax Wing Birds as they migrate through this area. But, I have never gotten a good photo of them. I only notice them about this time of the year for a few days (as they usually make a mess on my car). Well this morning I got lucky and saw them in the trees before they flew off to who knows where.
Did a quick edit on these two and am pleased with the results. They are such a unique looking Bird and very colorful. Hopefully, they will stay around for a few more days. |
